Restored AD User accounts not showing up in GAL

We recently restored a couple of User's AD accounts using Quest's object restore for AD objects which worked out great. We removed exchange attributes and re-attach the mailboxes to the users. Everything checks out good except the users are not showing up in the GAL. It has been over 12 hours. Would it take longer for them to show up in the GAL or is there another step we are missing.

in the online GAL it should be straight away. Try looking at the GAL in outlook web access to see if they are there.

If you are using outlook in cached mode, it can be up to 2 days. 24 hours for the offline address book to regenerate, and then again for your client to update the address book.
