CRM Tools

I'm looking for CRM recommendations that aren't very expensive to use.  Looked in to MS Dynamics and ACT.  I want to implement this on SharePoint.  Any other recommendations?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not use Sharepoint and costs a lot more than ACT.

It really depends on what you want from a CRM system. If you want to implement on SharePoint you may well be able to put a system together yourself.

What is a good resource in putting a system together myself.  I want a contact manager as well as following and closing sales.

What's your reason for wanting it implemented on Sharepoint?

We have a lot of staff all over the nation and SharePoint is the sole way that we can access the same resources in our enviroment.  Unless you have ideas for a web tool.

Any web based CRM system will suffice. Sage CRM can be used on the web, as can ACT! for Web. If you just want basic opportunity management then ACT! will be fine as it contains opportunities and it is a simple contact management system as well. Dynamics CRM will be way OTT for what you need and it is very much more expensive.
