I am having troubl with the sound on a lpatop.  The sstem reported an error with the Reaktek High Definintion sound driver.  I have removed the drver, and I have atempted to install the driver from both the original CD and a download from Intel.  I keep getting the error 5009:0x8002802b,  There is no other information available on this issue.

What do I have to do to get the sound driver working?

Hi, you could try this...

goto C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\RunTime

rename the directory's to **OLD or something....
there probably some numbers like 09,10,11 change them to 09OLD...etc

retry the installation of the realtek driver..

I apologize for my slow response.  Sometimes (actually most of the time) I have trouble getting back to a customer.
