Installing Outlook 2007 - cannot connect with Exchange 2007

We have been using Exchange 2k7 on Server 2k8 with no Outlook problems.  Now as we are installing Windows 7, outlook claims it cannot connect with the server - "the connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable".  It croaks trying to do its auto setup and then opens up a box asking me to correct the fields describing the exch server and the SMTP address of the client.  Both are correct.  I have seen numerous posts related to this but did not find a solution.  Even though we never fully setup autodiscovery website (Xp/Vista worked without it), I setup the DNS A rec for autodiscovery and made sure the CAS provider info was correct.  Still no change in behavior.  This seems like a common problem - we have a very basic setup here.  Any of you exchange experts able to come to the rescue?  Much appreciated.

Yes.  Note that this is unique to W7. All networking operating properly.

Is Outlook 2007 working in XP/Vista? Normally its because your exchange web services url is not properly setup.

Thanks for the ideas. We did a fresh install of W7 and outlook now installs fine.
