evernote shared notebook can you show shared notebooks in your navigation?

I shared a notebook with my dad and if he goes to a special link, he can get to it, but when he logs into his account, it is not listed under his notebooks.  Is there a way to get it to show up there?

I have the premium account which I got only so we can both edit.  He only has the regular.  This is in the web interface, not the desktop app.

A notebook from what app?
 - One Note
 - Pages
 - Microsoft Word

According to Evernote, the Free Edition is only able to directly access images, audio and PDF files from the web interface. If you are hoping your father will be able to access a .doc, .pages, .one file you may want to have him upgrade to premium.

If there's any more information you can provide so I can help further, let me know.

Hi, sorry I didn't see your response.
I mean just straight up text.  A simple note, no attached file, just typing on the screen.

I was wondering if there was a way for me to see a shared notebook (one that is shared to me) in my notebook, or see one shared from my notebook in another persons notebook.

I do have the paid version.  I don't want to have to go to two different urls.

Just like in onenote, you can have multiple notebooks on the left naviation.  I would like a simple way to see both my notebook as well as the share at one time.

That's an interesting need you have identified. Currently, I do not believe a hosted solutions allows multi-notebook view and edit especially for free. Evernote is as close as it gets but, even it comes up short.

There's Zoho Notebook which I hear is trying to publish OneNote like features in an Open Source hosted app. You might give it a try but, I have yet to check it out so, YMMV.
