I have a HP Proliant DL380 with Windows 2008 R2 std. x64 OS and I've installed HP Smart Start 8.30-0-x64 however I'm having problems installing the HP Insight Management Agent for Windows 2008 R2 x64 OS.

Trying to install HP Insight Management Agents for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition - won't install - says failed dependencies:

Installation for "HP Insight Management Agents for Windows Server 2003/2008 x64 Editions" requires one or more of the following that is not currently installed or in the install set:

- HP ProLiant Advanced System Management Controller Driver for Windows
- HP ProLiant iLO Advanced and Enhanced System Management Controller Driver for Windows
- HP ProLiant iLO 2 Management Controller Driver for Windows

I have downloaded cp010757.exe and when I try to install I receive this error message:

The software is not supported for installation on this system.

The installation program couldn't find the appropriate system management controller driver which is required but is not currently installed.  Please install the appropriate system management controller driver and then rerun the setup program.

Press 'Close' to exit Setup.

Where can I find the system management controller driver or does anyone know where I can find the HP Insight Management Agent for Windows 2008 R2 x64 os?

I have looked at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3884083&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3884082&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=4024#7832
Each of the Insight Management Agents give me an error message that it is not valid with my OS?

The difference between your link and my link...

Your link in the original post is for Windows 2008.

My link is for Windows 2008 R2  (which is the OS you are loading)

I used the link you listed to download the iso, which I was able to boot the server from the iso and install the Windows 2008 R2 X64 OS. The install was successful, the problem I'm having is the HP Insight Management Agents  will not install I continue to get the error:

The software is not supported for installation on this system.

With the link you provided, I am not able to install the HP Insight Management Agents. The error I get is

The software is not supported for installation on this system.

This is a DL380 G4.

Yes, I see that this link is for a Windows R2 x64 OS however the cp010757.exe fails each time.

oh.... DL380 G4 is not technically supported to run Windows 2008 R2.  You can see here, that you can not select this version of the OS... you can installed non-R2  Windows 2008:   http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3288132&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodClassId=-1&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=397634

You need a G5 or later to run Windows 2008 R2.

Although, you can call HP to see if they can help you out (unsupported) to get the OS loaded in the way you want...

I had same problem on DL380 G4. I had it before on the windows 2003 and now after a re-installe with 2008 R2 again. Installing the 8.3 version of the HP ProLiant Advanced System Management Controller Driver for Windows and then upgrading it to 8.7 fixed it for me.
