I just installed Mercurial, but running debuginstall at the end produces one error:
Checking encoding (UTF8)...
Checking extensions...
Checking templates...
Checking patch...
Checking commit editor...
Checking username...
no username supplied (see "hg help config")
(specify a username in your .hgrc file)
1 problems detected, please check your install!

However, running $ sudo find . -name "*.hgrc" produces zero results.

hg uses the ~/.hgrc in your home directory. You just have to create one there which contains a section with your user name and other configuration options you need.

Oh, so it's user-created, and not automatically installed?
