emails stats for exchange 2003 and exchange 2007
I am trying to get stats for exchange 2003 and 2007. In particular emails sent/received with attachments, sent/received emails to distribution lists with attachments, and average email size.

Ok, im trying all of the suggested applications, but with one note on my findings:
I contacted exclaimer and this is what they said:
I am afraid we cannot do reports like this. We can only report on how many mails were sent with disclaimers or signatures.
Are you looking at disclaimers or signatures at all?

You need to look at expensive products like MessageStats if you want detailed reporting.
Mailscape has much feature and much less price than mailstate, additionaly it provides configuration and reporting so when you compare mailscape you need to copare it to mailstats and spotlight
You will need to use third party tools to process the logs - I have instructions on enabling the feature and third party tools on my web site:

Quest Message Stats will tell you everything that you want to know, and more, but it is very expensive.
