Supect Corrupt ACT Database

Hi all.
A nasty crash yesterday has, i think, corrupted our ADF File. After going into ACTDIAG and  attempting the standard repair routes and getting nowhere, it appears that the database has been marked as "suspect". Running through guidance on the ACT support site I deleted the database through DIAG and reloaded the ADF file through ACT itself. It started trying to verify the database but failed every time.
I have read a very similar post recently on EE with really no answer other than restore from a backup. We do have a back up luckily, but it would mean sacrificing quite a bit of data which obviously is a last case scenario.
Has anyone solved an issue like this, if so what steps are possible? I have read it is possible to load the ADF file into MS SQL and access the tables and information that way.
I have a nasty feeling that it is probably good bye ADF file or a case of sending it to ACT USA and seeing if it can be repaired.
Thanks in advance,
James.

I assume you mean detached the database with ACTDIAG and not deleted it?

What version of ACT!?

What's the exact error message and what version of ACT! (from Help | About)?
ACT 2008, the error message now coming up when the ADF file is run is as follows:

SQL Server detected a logical consistency based I/O error: Incorrect Page Id (expected 1:18; actual 1:335) It occurred during a read of a page (1:18) in database ID 9 at offset 0x00000000024000 in file 'C:\ACT! Westwind Database\Westwind.ADF'. Additional messages in the SQL Server Error log or system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database consistency check (DBCC CHECKDB). This error can be caused by many factors; for more information, see SQL Server Books Online. During redoing of a logged operation in database 'westwind', an error occurred at log record ID (2088.274:11). Typically, the specific failure in previously logged as an error in the Windows Event log service. Restore the database from a full backup, or repair the database. Could not open new database 'westwind'. CREATE DATABASE is aborted.

Thanks.
and version (10.0) 10.0.1.199
The database will have to be repaired... MS SQL has corrupted somehow.

I would contact Sage database services and see if the can help repair it....
Unfortunately I can't attempt that fix as ACT KB article 17715, advised to delete the suspect database through ACTDIAG. Thanks
And you can't attach the copy you made?
No I couldn't . It was failing every time. Turned out to be $250 to repair, and it worked, AND they returned the fixed .ADF file in under 24 hours so all sorted now. A daily backup schedule has been implemented!! Thanks very much for your help though. Much appreciated.
James.
