MYOB Database Issue

I have a client who has a brand new PC system set-up.  It consists of a DLink Modem/router, 2 new Windows 7 PC's and a Dlink DNS-313 Network attached storage device housing a 500GB Hard Drive.
I set their system up like this so that the 2 PC's can share the MYOB Premier version 12 database without one of the PC's having to be on.  The database sits on the NAS.
When i first installed the system a month ago we found that the NAS device was faulty and crashed the MYOB database whenever they wanted to use it.  I replaced the NAS Device and hard drive and the system worked OK, for about 2 weeks.
Now the MYOB database has crashed again with error 48.  The same issue arose when the NAS device first crashed.  I was able to fix the database by running the MYOB Optimistaion Assistant.  It fixed the database and all was well.  Now everything is running OK, but the MYOB Database has crashed again.
When it crashed before, one PC was able to transact fine, but on one PC whenever we open the purchases register, the system would crash.  I presumed there was a culprit purchase transaction that was crashing the system.
The optimisation assistant fixed the system.  All was well.
Now today, 2 weeks later, the same thing has happened.
MYOB Premier 12 is meant to allow upto 3 users logged into the database at the one time, so I presume the set-up I created was fine.
Has anyone else had any simialr issues with MYOB Premier 12?

We run MYOB accounting Plus 2009, so I've a feeling that the version you are running (MYOB Premier 12) is very old.

We also access it from 2x PCs. We keep the company file on the server, and open it up from each of the 2x PCs, however we only have one user license, so only one of us can have the company file open at any one time.

When you say "database", do you mean "company file", i.e .the file that ends with .myo ?

As an aside, MYOB has been bought by Mamut software in the UK (mainly for its customer base) and support for MYOB is being discontinued. Everyone who wants to is being migrated over to Mamut... But I#ve just noticed your timezone is Australia so this prolly won't apply...

Yes I do mean company file. MYOB premier versions are different to accounting versions . Premier 12 is the latest version. We are upto version 18 in accounting in aus.
ok m8, sorry in that case. ws hoping a simple upgrade might help, but you're already on a good platform.

hope u get a fix
