WSUS SP1 was working fine on Server 2008R2
I just upgraded to WSUS SP2 now when the WSUS console loads I get
Error: Connection error and the useful message "this can happen for a number of reasons"
Pressing Reset Server Node does not help
rebooting does not help

I had a similar problem had to re-install (remove-install) while keeping the data base. Everything is ok now.

On the previous install, was the WSUS DB left in a default location? Was anything that you know of customised is any way?

Just wondering if the install of SP2 has somehow reverted to default settings when you've got things in different places etc...

I don't have a W2k8 box to play about with it on though I'm afraid, so it's just guess work!
