Which interface Cable for an HP380 G4 & UPS R 3000XR (Int)

Last Modified: 2013-12-11
I wish to get a UPS/computer interface communications cable to run between a HP380 G4 and UPS R 3000XR (Int.) The manual says useDE9 201092-00X, further reading indicates that for my unit the 'X' is replaced with '2' ie 201092-002.

Have not been able to get one of those locally but can get a 201092-001 cable.

As far as can be seen the only difference is that the -001 is only 6ft long while the -002 is 12ft long.

For me the shorter length woudl be fine as the equipment is only fixed in the same rack. Am not game to jump to the -001 however without being sure there are not differences for example in the voltage each carry.

Can anybody set me straight on this? Thanks.
