Cannot get java controller to compile

I am taking over a basic web application and trying to add a new page, and pretty much have basic skills in java / spring, although I'm good in Oracle and basic static web pages.

I understand the functionality of this application inside and out, but the previous programmer is no longer here.

This is in a corporate environment, RAD-7, Tomcat, etc.

My goal is to simply copy one page to a test page and just prove that I can do that.

I got close but one thing doesn't seem to work, the Controller won't compile.

It looks like there are four components I need to copy:

- OrigPageDAO.java
- OrigPageDAOImpl.java
- OrigPageController.java

plus the page OrigPage.jsp

anyway, I just copied OrigPage components and made NewPage components, and change around various variable names.

- NewPageDAO compiled
- NewPageDAOImpl compiled

but
- NewPageController did NOT compile

on the object name is an error, says "[objectName] cannot be resolved to a type", i.e. EDMMainDAO, see code snippet.
