Adding a drive to Existing SQL Server 2008 instance

Is it possible to add a drive to an existing clustered SQL Server 2008 instance?  How is it done?  I have added the extra shared drive to the Cluster resource and of course the drive is seen by everything on the server except SQL Server.  How can I add this to SQL Server as a real drive?  One that is seen by the engine as a resource it can back up to or restore from?

That's not enough - I need to be able to see this as a disk resource on the sql server itself
