Hi there,

There are a few ways to do this. Without scripting, a very good utility for this is ADModify:

http://www.codeplex.com/admodify

You can select all users, or users from specific OUs, all through a GUI, and then clear the mobile number field for all of these users.

To actually clear a value, use 'null' in the field. This will clear it for all of the selected users.

A good feature to ADModify is that is saves the changes and allows you to undo them if you require.

A quick step-by-step:

1. Open ADModify and select 'Modify Attributes'
2. Select your domain from the 'Domain List' drop down box.
3. Select a domain controller from the 'Domain Controller List' drop down box
4. De-select 'Groups', 'Contacts' and 'Public Folders' (so only 'users' is selected), then click the green arrow.
5. Now in the lower pane you should be able to explore the tree-view of your domain. If you want to get ALL users in the domain, select the very top node (your domain name), click 'Traverse Subcontainers' and then click 'Add To List'. This will get all users from your domain (searching all sub OUs). Alternatively you can pick individual OUs here instead of the domain if you wish.
6. Once you have the list of users in the right hand pane, click 'Select All' and then 'Next'
7. In the next dialogue, select the 'Telephones' tab, and select the 'Mobile' tick-box. Now in the field type 'null'
8. Click 'Go!' and the fields will be cleared.

Also make a note of the XML file that is created. You can use this to undo your changes if you have made a mistake. Open ADModify again and choose 'Undo Changes', then provide the XML file when prompted.
