I am trying to figure out how "Message ID" in outbound emails from exchange 2007 can be updated to my smtp address set in MX record. Currently, all outgoing messages have the server name in the header which I believe it is a ground for getting blacklisted.

Message-ID: <50CE11E6AE51E54F8ECC80F5871FBA020471DCF7AE@servername.mydomain.local>

<50CE11E6AE51E54F8ECC80F5871FBA020471DCF7AE@mail.mypublicdomain.com>

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That is perfectly normal.

Not much you can do about it really

Thanks for your quick response!

This is kind of a separate but related question. Do you think there is any value in disabling the tracking? Would the server name be hidden then?

It won't affect anything the server name will still be injected in the header

I wish the solution would have been elaborated on more.
