Virtual Server after server Crash

we just had a client servers motherboard crash. we are playing back the image on a workstation with vmware server. we have a replacement motherboard that will be here in a few days. what would be the best way to proceed to get the image back onto the server? the drives are still good. do we just restore the system state from the vmware ? any ideas would be greatful

You can start fresh for the host OS if you want, as long as the vmdk + vmx is proper format you can just register them in any vmware product
Stop all VM, covert them to proper format for your new vmware platform using vmware converter
Copy the converted VMs to the new server & register them in your vmware
