sahil-sabir used Ask the Experts™
We have couple of Windows 2003 servers and windows XP Pcs in our environment, we do not have domain controller yet. I have configured one of our server with an external time source and the time sync is fine. Now I need to sync all my servers and Pcs to this server so please provide me an easy way to do it.

If you want all the machines to sync time .please run "w32tm /resync"  .Put this in a simple batch file and put it in the login Script just for once so that all machines will sycn the time.. :)

after creating the batch file do i have to put this in the login script for all the pcs since the pcs are not in domain heirarchy
One time run should be enough. Since you don't have a domain policy that can be enforced on all PCs centrally, you will need to have a way to distribute this script to each pc. I suggest putting it in a share, and either run it your self, or instruct the users to do it.
If these machines are not in Domain then i would say you either have to run this on all the machines but in that case no need to create a batch file just type w32tm /resync  at the command prompt  or put this bacth file in a share and ask Users to run it once  .

Thanks .
