Hi There - i have client whose mac i recently installed Windows 7 for on Bootcamp - this was before the Windows 7 compatibility update in 3.1 came out on the 19th of Jan - I am finding an issue in upgrading to 3.1 as Windows 7 doesnt seem to recognise it - It runs the exe and then stalls and Windows 7 doesnt appear to be included in the system requirements -
How can i get the update on there so it addresses some of the issues in Windows 7 on bootcamp?

Was the previous version of boot camp driver installed properly? My Macbook installed Windows 7 downloaded and installed update 3.1 the day before yesterday without any issue. Try to remove the update and redownload it.

Ok cheers for this - i am wondering whether perhaps i should be asking a different question - ultimately the reason why i need to do this is because the Macbook pros mic, camera and backlight dont work - there are Windows drivers for them? or it simply something one has to sacrifice when moving to Windows 7?

Cam is working in Bootcamp but not backlight. And Apple promised to fix Mic also.

Ok - so if i upgraded to bootcamp version 3.1 , it would only give ability for the camera to work but not the mic and backlight right?
Sorry to re-iterate this but i need to be sure on whether its worthwhile going for the install and working out why its not working or simply getting an external webcam with a mic

I am in Windows 7 installed via BootCamp and I tested on Skype the mic and cam. They works. But no backlight. And I have Bootcamp 3.1

Ok - i managed to crack the issue - it turns out that the remote software i use (Logmein ) interferes with the installation of the display drivers during the Bootcamp install , hence forcing to end prematurely -
I uninstalled the logmein software and rebooted - after that , the wizard ran fine.

Thanks dfor the help all the same
