Visible Excel Cells

I have lost the ability to Paste Visible Cells Only in Excel 2007. I am creating a summary of data from a giant spreadsheet where I need to paste just the visible cells into an existing table in another tab. All columns are being pasted for some reason.  I’m doing something wrong, but I’m stumped as to what that is.

Hello dplearning,

Simply hiding a row or column will not prevent you from copying the data there.

You need to be using the AutoFilter to suppress copying of unseen cells.  Of course, even with the AutoFilter,
hidden columns/rows will still paste unless you are applying criteria in the filter.

Patrick

Or just do what Rory told you :)
