How does see your Windows Disk Management this HDD? I would wipe it to remove all the traces of CDFS if the drive is detected by WDM as standard HDD.
You can accomplish this by booting up from a Linux live CD.  Install Linux on the drive and it will delete all partitions including the CDFS.  The drive should be bootable at that point.  Of course it will completely format the drive so make sure to back it up if you need any data off of it.

Ubuntu is as good as any.

I have been trying that all day. It will allow me to install the whole OS (Fedora 10), but thats about it. It will not boot there after as the CDFS partition comes up first on boot.
