incoming messages in HTML Garbled, = signs inserted

Exchange 2007 on Win2008. ONLY SOME users (in small 25 user network), incoming messages have = sign inserted in entire message. Even in signature. Signature seems to have = in the same spot for every email?! Mostly have the = sign followed by a space dispersed throughout the message. Doesn't matter if viewed in OWA or Outlook. After searching web, I see another user on Google has same problem, but can't find resolve!

What virus/spam software do you have installed on the server?
I would suggest removing this and then restarting the server as the first port of call.

I was thinking back to about the time this started. I did a Firmware update to my Baracuda SPAM unit. My only downfall is trying to find the correct configuration.
Commented:
It turns out that Barracuda SPAM firewall was the culprit. A patch from manufacturer fixed it up.

Do you have details of the patch that was used?

Author

Commented:
Unfortunately, Barracuda applied the patch directly. He did mention that they were going to post on website.

OK thanks, when you spoke to them what exactly did you tell them as I have another issue where they are saying there is no known problem

Basically, when I mentioned the = signs, they knew immediately. (I opened a ticket, rather than calling direct). My only tip off was that was the last change to the network. It threw me off because it didn't happen right away and only to a few individuals. I was actually going to revert on the firmware before calling them, but I guess I got lucky this time. I wish you luck. Between them and Sonicwall, I was ready to jump out a window!
