SPF Record Query

Hi All

Im hoping you can help.  I am wanting to set-up an SPF record for a domain name I look after.  I have issues doing this, but just wondered which IP's to include.  Let me tell you how we have this setup.

Exchange Server (Pub IP) sends mail to Maildefender (to get scanned), then onto recipient

The other way to receive.

My query is, do I have to include the Public IP address of my Exchange server, or just point to the SPF record to the MX records, which are all Maildefender servers?

Thanks in advance

I can do this no problem, what Im asking is do I NEED to include the public IP of my exchange server or will it suffice to use just the MX records for Maildefender?

Hence I dont want p[eopkle to really have the ability to see my pub IP address.

Your server / Internet IP will always be the originating IP so you should include this IP in the SPF record.  I would also include the IP's of Maildefender / or their domain name to cover any changes that they make in the future so that you don't have to keep updating your SPF record if they make changes without telling you.
