Hi

We are a couple of months away from moving our SBS server to a new firewall and router with new external ip addresses.

I havent seen alot of documentation for this type of scenario. Would it be just a case of re running the Internet wizard in SBS and it picking up new settings or do we have to go a bit deeper?

Going from ATT as an ISP and moving to Cogent.

Thanks

If you are keeping your external domain name the same, then even running internet wizzard will not be necessary. Just be sure, that your external DNS settings (A records) will be changed correctly.

If the LAN IP numbering isn't changing, SBS could care less!

Keep the same gateway IP on the new router and configure the same port maps.

Of course, your public DNS zone will need changing.
