Would anyone know how to import contacts from outlook or from excel/text delimited file to my GPS devices so that I dont have to type in addresses in the GPS?  I can have my GPS connect to computer using usbcable & blackberry tool using bluetooth. Both my outlook & blackberry contacts are in synch but i cant seems to use any of these addresses for navigation purposes.  when i connect my GPS to blackberry using blue tooth, it works fine but still no good for navigation. I have a tomtom GPS model O 730 and the application that came with does not gives a program to do the same

I see a file contacts.txt in the contacts folder in root & i think many of these addresses are picked up from my blackberry. I can make phone calls to these entries  from my GPS but I cannot use these to navigate.

I didn't get the idea of connection a tomtom device through blackberry tool and a USB cable to computer.

I do know that the PDA (phone with Windows Mobile) version of tomtom support the contacts. As, probably, all other navigation applications running on Microsoft Windows Mobile devices. In this case the navigation application may access the outlook contacts through a special interface - POOM - Pocket Outlook Object Model. If the phone was synchronized with your computer, the contacts from computer were copied to the phone and the navigation can take it from the phone. But not from the computer itself.

I do not know how it works with TomTom and maybe you are right and it is possible to connect a TT device with a computer somehow and copy your contacts. I, personally, have not heard about it.
