Put itunes library on external hard drive using itunes program version 9. All went perfect, even validated before deleting library from c: drive in pc. After deleting itune library from pc now cannot see library when itunes program lauched but is in e: drive and e: drive was unplugged from usb when pc deletion was performed. Im sure there is a simple solution to this. I do not have "Keep itunes music folder organized" or "Copy files to itunes music folder when adding to library" checked, is this the problem? I also have the path to take from on e drive, which I know worked because I tried a track before deletion and it was taken from correct drive. Mike

In iTunes from the menu
Edit>Preferences>Advanced Tab> iTunes music folder location>Modify
Change the path to your external drive
That should work

I did consolidate and path is set to e: drive. I think I figured it out. I clicked on file, add folder to library, picked folder from e: drive. Now see library in itunes- was not sure if was going to put library back into c: drive but did not. What did happen was art work folder got created to pc- can that be sent to e: drive as well?

Its ok- all working ok now. Art work only 47 MB. Even though itunes is playing through e:drive, is still pulling art work from c: drive. Thanks, Mike
