Is there a way to record a presentation using OCS 2007 R2?

we are running OCS 2007 R2 server on the back end, and the Office communicator client on the desktops. [not running live communications server]

is there a way to record the presentations / meetings?
I can't seem to locate a "record" button when we are in a conference.

Is OCS R2 configured correcly for live meeting ?

Go to the Global Properties in your OCS admin console, select the meetings tab, check "Allow preseter to record meetings" and if required check "Presenter can allow attendes to record meetings"

hi Avishar, yes i do have that option enabled in the policy. however I do not see the option in the OC client when i am in a conference / meeting.
where can i find the "record" button? we are running the Office Communicator 2007 R2 client.

actually no, we are not running LCS and do not install the live meeting software, since we are OCS 2007 R2 on the backend and the client. Also running EX2010 and Win2008 AD.

In the Meetings tab  make sure the Policy Settings:Global Policy is set to Default Policy (refer attached screenshot)

yes, i have confirmed that it is set to Default Policy.
Where should i see the "record"option? i don't see it anywhere on the OC client.

Avishar, we do not want to install the Live meeting 2007 client. We have already installed the Office Communicator 2007 R2 client. The question is, is there a record option in the OC 2007 R2 client

With Office Communicator 2007 R2 it is not possible to locally record calls.

which will be stored on Office Communications Server 2007 R2 or a specified network share.
The Live Meeting recording will not just capture voice but meeting content as well as notes, Q&A sessions, and video.
