Exchange SMTP message limits
My company's database software uses an SMTP connection to send email's.
I could have 5 users sending 1000+ emails at once.
The support company for our database software have raised a concern that our Exchange server may limit the amount of SMTP connections, restricting the amount of emails our users can send out.
How do I check this?

One server connecting would count as one server incoming connection.
There is no limit on the amount of messages that can be sent as far as I can recall.

You can check in Exchange System Manager > Administrative Group > First Administrative Group > Servers > Servername > Protocols > SMTP and check the properties of the SMTP server in the properties you will find 4 TAB's click on Delivery under Delivery you will see Outbound Connections click on that and you will see the "Limit number of connections" there you need make changes according to your requirement.
