Hi,

Vista Os indexing is taking a lot of space. how can i shrink it
1. what is the file extension
2. How can i off indexing
3. is there a way to shrink it
4. Will there be any issues if i delete it

in GPO where can i set this option as disable.

Don't delete it since it has to do with windows etc. any way, the best thing you can do is wait for the next service pack to come out, the same thing happened in Vista. What type of hard drive do you have that you are running out of space?

You'll also notice the option for drive compression which should free up some space.

You may want to get an application like CCleaner and run that before you start turning off functional stuff in windows because I am pretty sure the actual index db files are relatively small.
