Spell Check in Outlook 2007
Hello,
I have a client who is running Windows XP SP3 , Microsoft Office 2007- Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
His Spell check stopped working in outlook 2007 but not in Word, Excel or PowerPoint.
I have read through some of the other suggestions on this site and nothing has worked yet.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Have there been any changes to the proofing options within Outlook, perhaps turning the spell check options off? If you visit the options pane in Outlook's Editor options (Tools - Options - Spelling tab - Spelling and AutoCorrection).

Those are all checked on.
I tried turning them off, then back on and still nothing.

any other ideas? ;)
Hmm... Outlook 2007 uses the Word spell checker and editing functions as far as I recall.
Next thing to try would be Office Diagnostics (From Outlook goto Help -> Office Diagnostics) and run through the wizard to see if it detects anything.

Are there any Language Packs for other Microsoft Products installed?
e.g. some LPs for Microsoft Project 2000 are actually causing problems with the Outlook 2007 spell checking engine.

I just checked and there are no language packs installed.
I know it sound obvious, but is the option "do not check spelling" in the email language settings unchecked?
Further you could try to rename the file "normalemail.dotm" there's probably something wrong with this template. (The file should be located in C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Applicat ion Data\Microsoft\Templates)
