Setup VLAN on a netgear GS748TPS

I am tring to setup a voice vlan on a GS748TPS netgear switch, i have read the docs and am a little confused. I have 1 firewall that will server as my router as well, and 1 switch, i want to separate the voice from the data, could someone help in understanding all the steps that i need to take to accomplish this, I have read the docs and am not piecing all the info together.

You should be able to create the new VLAN in the vlan tab of the admin page. Then go to voice vlan and set it up as that. From the interfaces page you can add the ports to the relevant VLAN.
You will need to set up your phone system/DHCP in a relevant manner and that depends on your system. Do you have more details?

I am using my phone as a switch as well, and will have phone/data traffic on 2 different subnets, how do i go about setting that up?
That really depends on how you are configuring the phones. The way we have done it in the past with Mitel phones and Cisco switches is to have an option in the data VLAN's DHCP scope that is specific to the phones and tells them which VLAN to tag their packets to rather than it being done by the port receiving untagged traffic. That way the PC sends data untagged and the switch then tags it with the VLAN of the interface. The phone initially gets DHCP on the data VLAN, an option of which tells it to tag traffic as the phone VLAN. The phone then tags a DHCP broadcast with that VLAN and sends it out, the switch passes it to the rest of the voice VLAN, the DHCP server receives it and responds. Then any data sent from the phone is tagged as voice and anything else is treated as untagged and uses the VLAN of the interface. Not sure quite how this will work with your phone system or with a Netgear but the concept should be the same.

i am not sure how that would be done with the netgear switch specified, please let me know if you know how to do this with a netgear switch.

I have found this on experts exchange they are doing a similar setup https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22099705/Setting-up-VLANs-for-VoIP-with-a-Netgear-GS748T-and-Cisco-IP-Phones.html?sfQueryTermInfo=1+netgear+port+tag but i am , the onyl difference that i can tell is that i am not using a separete phone provider, all traffic will be going over my existing ISP. How do i go about getting this set up?

It is now 2/3/09 and i have received no assistance, please change my zones back to the original, they seemed to be more effective in getting responses.
