Outlook Garbled Message

jaya31 used Ask the Experts™
A user will receive an email, upon opening, the user will see the message in garbled characters and text. Once the message is closed and reopened the email is in the proper format and has the text readable. The problem happens often enough. We have tried to uninstall, repair and update outlook. Looked to see if its the antivirus problems and made some changes, but the problem exists. Any suggestions or solutions. Mircosoft has posted a hotfix download  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916299, however when we try to apply it to our exchange server, the message applies that its already installed with service pack. Thanks in advance for you help.

Have you actually uninstalled your virus software from both the client and the server to see if that stops it?

We did disabled the antivirus on our exchange server to test as well as remove the email scanning portion of Client antivirus on the workstation and the problem still occurs. Thx

This happens with emails from one sender only ? please post the header of one such email.
