Stubborn Malware

Howdy:

I have a client whom I am helping remotely. She is running a PC with Windows XP sp3. After having encountered a bogus security warning, she clicked on it to close and caused malware to be installed. I did a deep scan and remove with Malwarebytes. Found 31 different infections and removed them all. But the problem still not resolved. Similar messages popped up and the browser (IE) wouldn't allow itself to be closed from the taskbar. I went back in, opened up the Task Manager Processes tab and saw several svchost.exe processes running. Yikes!
