It was most certainly a hosting problem. I DID do everything correctly, however, apparently, my email settings in my account were configured for an email server that was not on the same server as the web server... if that makes any sense.<br />

I have a webhosting account with HostMonster. They run off of linux servers with cpanel. I had an auto install of PHPlist (latest version) done and everything seems to be going fine unti i got to sending a test email. It says the send failed to the email address. I added the address to a list and confirmed it. I disabled the &quot;test&quot; option. I tried setting SMTP in the configuration, but nothing seems to be working. I have used this program before and have never had a problem. I know my host doesnt limit SMTP or any of that...<br />

If anyone has any knowledge of this, it would be greatly appreciated!!!<br />

PHPList not sending any messages, not even test messages

Within Internet message handling services (MHS), a message transfer agent or mail transfer agent (MTA) or mail relay is software that transfers electronic mail messages from one computer to another using a client–server application architecture.
