I have a customer that has a 4 computer network.  The main computer is Vista and the other 3 are  2 XP laptops and a Windows 7 laptop.  The HP Officejet 6500 is installed to the Vista computer. and the other 3 computers are connecting wirelessly to the internet .  The XP computers prints wirelessly but the Windows 7 computer will not print wirelessly.  You have to take the laptop directly to the printer to get it to print.  I have installed the Full software for Vista on the main computer and have installed the Windows 7 drivers and software on the Windows 7 computer but it will not print.  It says it's printing but it goes off somewhere and never makes it to the printer.  When you connect the laptop directly to the printer, it prints fine.

Any suggestions?

Find out the IP address of the printer first of all.

Then open a command prompt on the Windows 7 laptop and ping the printer to find out if the printer can actually be accessed from this laptop or not. The below is an example of how to use ping:

If you get response back, that means you can actually access the printer, if you don't receive anything, that means the printer is not reachable from this PC and you need to re-install the printer driver for Windows 7 and try again.

Let me know, how it goes.

Sorry for the delay....I am waiting for the customer to be available to check the solution.  They have been out of the country..... and then we have had really bad weather lately (and no power)  I hope to be able to get this solved for them soon.  I'll let you know.
