PayPal Maximum Quantity

Hello,

I'm building a website that will sell event tickets that will have only so many available seats.

I'm wondering, is there a way in PayPal where you can specify the maximum allowed qty?

For example, if the event is for 20 seats, and 17 are purchased, PayPall will alow the buy to purchase no more than 3 seats.

Any suggestions?

Hello

Yes, paypal shopping cart is having facility to maintain inventory.. While setting up your product in admin area, enable 'Inventory Management' option and then mention the items available to be sold.

This will keep track that user dont buy more than what you have in inventory.

Is there a way to do this dinamically, by code?

How would you do that.

If your SERVER knows how many has been sold, then of course you can block the paypal from even showing
If you do not know, then how will you pass this information to anywhere?

At my end, I do have a db that tracks the number of sold tickets.
My db has these fields:
MaxSeats = 20
SoldSeats = 17
My question is, how can I tell PayPal that the max qty that can be purchased of the selected item is 3?
Of course, later I read the IPN and increase  Sold by qty.
