Display picture on my iPhone changed

It's not a big problem, just a curiosity. Whenever someone called me on my iPhone, the whole screen would show his picture. But now all of a sudden I noticed that it's just a small square picture of his face in the top-right corner. What do you think changed this?

I haven't updated the operating system in the phone itself. Something that I did indeed do is switch from a PC to a MacBook Pro (i.e. with regards to the computer that the phone syncs to). Maybe that made a difference?

If anybody knows why, lemme know please, and also if it's possible to put it back to showing the whole screen of the person's picture.

Thanks.

I think what has happened is something common that happens when you synchronise contacts from your computer address book to your iPhone contacts.

Check the photo you have for that person in your address book on your mac and see if this is the one that now shows.  Do you have any contacts synchronised from anywhere else?

If you want to just change the photo back and you have the person's photo on your iPhone in the photo album, then you can edit the contact in your address book app on the iPhone. Edit the photo, choose existing photo from the options and then select the photo from your iPhone's photo album.  This may get changed back again when you resychronise if you synchronise from the macintosh or through MobileMe to the iPhone.

Thanks. But maybe you misunderstood the question. It's not the photo that has changed. The photo has always been the same. And indeed it is the photo that is both in the MAC contacts and in the iPhone contacts.

The issue is THE SIZE of the photo. As I mentioned, before, the whole screen, 100% would show the picture of the person who is calling. However, now just a small picture about a 1.5 cm x 1.5 cm shows in the top-right corner.

Again, there is no problem with the photo itself, just the fact that all of a sudden it is in miniature.
do you still have the photo on your iPhone? If not then it may just be using the thumbnail of that photo - I'm not sure if it sends a copy to the address book or just links to the photo in the photo album.

Have you tried replacing the photo on your iPhone with the same photo to see if that fixes it? Are any of your other contacts doing the same thing?
