Rebuilding mirror RAID

I have an HP ProLiant DL360 in a mirror configuration.
Drive 0 died... per the red flashing light and the HP System Managment browser tool.
I replaced Drive 0 and it shows ok (check mark) and the utility shows the array "Ready for rebuild".
How do I start the rebuild process?
I opened the Array Configuration Utility as well and don't see an option.

It should automatically do that, you don't need to do anything, just wait and monitor the status.

Whatever option you select take backup of drive 0 first. It is possible that RAID mirror could go reverse and leave you with blank 2 drives.

if you have installed the HP array configuration utility on the system, start it and you can see the status while it rebuilds.
One thing, you need to keep the computer working for the rebuild to complete.

It's been 5 hours and everything still shows that it is ready to rebuild.  It is NOT rebuilding.

Commented:
When you startup the computer do you see any options after the RAID controller initiates regarding the rebuild. Usually, you are given an option to rebuild, ... I think they were F1 and F2 options.

Or press F8 to go inside the RAID card configuration.

Thought the Array Configuration utility allowed this while the computer was running.

Commented:
Yes, if you have access through the array configuration utility.
HP Smart Array program is where you make it happen.  Its supposed to start automatically.

After letting the computer run for 24 hours and still showing "Ready for Rebuild" I gave up and rebooting the server.

After the reboot (took 3 or 4 minutes) the status showed as OK... the mirror was recreated.

I appears that the system DID start the auto-rebuild but never updated the HP uitlity of the fact.
