Feynman was brilliant, and could present difficult concept in a clear and understandable way.
His shameless self promotion was well deserved.

I recently read the book "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman", kind of autobiographic stories of his life. Very funny and entertaining, and at the same time educational and encouraging. If you are interested to learn about Richard Feynman, I'd very recommend to read this book.

I believe if you google it you can find the text or PDF file for free.

One great story from one of his books:  He was asked by a neighbor to try to fix a radio.  He opend the back and just stared at the inside for the longest time.  He was reviewing how the circuits must work.  Then he reached in, pulled out two tubes and swapped them.  He turned the radio back on, it worked.
He later heard the neighbor tell somebody, "He fixed the radio by thinking!"

This section of EE seems not to be the best place to get a rousing discussion going.  I'll close this up.
