moving data from a dynamic disk to a basic disk, need help
I have a dynamic disk and I would like to move a partition from there to a seperate basic disk.
Without the use of 3rd party software, can I do it? How? Points to anyone who has done this before and can give some tips.
I was thiniking just restore the backup to the alternate location, swap drive letters, check shares, and call it a day - would that work?

If the system partition is on the dynamic disc, your not gonna be able to do anything with that unless you use third party. If its just an extra partition with file shares, then yea u can just move it where ever and re share it with the same names to keep the unc path and users wont notice if done correctly.
