Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to extend an existing sharepoint site to enable all links to work correctly when accessing the Internal site from outside through an ISA 2006 DMZ.
I have access to it from outside to ISA server and can logon to site but a lot of links like shred documents work but the info in the folders doesnt show, webpage 404 error, it works fine Internally.
If I extend an existing site does this duplicate the existing DB and thus create new links for correct translation for the ISA server to work properly. Does this then automatically update anything added to the internal website to the extended one ..i.e does it miiror it ?? I belive I also have to add an alternate access mapping but what I'm tryin to achieve is access to an Internal urls which aren't on the sharepoint server e.g http://servername/folder
, I read global address mappings can achive this but I cannot find any examples of how to or the syntax to create the global mapping ....any help Thanks in Advance.
