Adobe Acrobat Professional: How to insert text into a PDF document?

Dear Experts:

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional installed in my system. I downloaded a PDF application form online.  I need to fill out the form. But I do not know how to that.

If it is a form, it should show you a banner across the top of the page showing it is an adobe form. If it does not it is probably just a .PDF of the actual form but you should be able to go to your Forms Menu-->Add or Edit option and add the necessary data fields save the file and enter the data.
Use the Typewriter tool (Tools>Typewriter>Typewriter). This will allow you to fill out any document, regardless of whether the author made it into an electronic form or not.
