Hyper-V Integration services not detecting child OS ("unknown")
Hi,
I am running a Server server 2008 R2 Hyper - V.
I am moving a windows 2000 server vm from VS2005 to Hyper-V R2. Integration services were successfully installed yet on the SCVMM 2008, the OS of the VM shows "unknown".
the VM's registry entry on "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\V irtual Machine\Auto" shows it right.
what do you think would be blocking it?
the VM's OS is Windows Server 2000, OSversion 5.0.2195
Thanks.

i might need to review on the SP4 side. sp4 might not have installed correctly on the server even though it reflects sp4 on it's system properties.
yes, i have reviewed the second link you gave, and yes all integration services-related are running well.
