had you try to re-install the driver or try windows restore.?
Try to increase the volume.
Connect an external speaker in the external plugs and see if there is any sound in the external speaker.

Actually, just plugging in an audio jack in the speaker plug may correct the problem, as these plugs some times tend to sense that there is something there and thus disconnecting the internal speaker and routing the audio to the external plug.

Uninstall your sound card, and reboot.... It should reinstall on it's own... Then retest....
