I just upgraded to win 7 my d; drive is not available to assign

after upgrading from vista to windows 7 my drive that was D: is now I: when I try to change it to D: that letter is not available where can I find it I need that letter so that programs on the drive will work

Is D already mapped to another device?   If so, you'll need to move it first.

You can access this all from the Administrative Tools / Computer Management / Storage Management tool from Control Panel

No d: is not showing in the list or under my computer at all.
Hmmm.  I'm unclear why it would do that, unless the drive letter is reserved for SOMETHING.
