How to hide "add comments" field AND how to hide date posted? (Wordpress)

Is it possible to hide the "add comments" field on some of the pages in a wordpress site? Just some not all. Also, is it possible to hide how it says the date a post was made? I am trying to make this look like a regular website, not like a blog with dates that things are posted on.

But note that adding plugin's slow your site down, and you can use php comments to remove the line without actually removing it, that way you can turn them back on anytime.

Just put these around the area you want to comment out in your theme
