I could not understand exactly how it runs,
I want to create a connection via iscsi initiator from a clustered network
but i am not sure how could i create iscsi target . depending on my searches (still have not a clear answer ) Hyper-v role do the same job with Windows storage server but i do not know if i right or not, which one gives better performance.
could any body help me?

Hyper-V cannot provide shared volume necessary for clustering.
iSCSI target can do this. On the WSS server side - you have to create Target (with all initiators on the list) and volumes. Then connect volumes to the target.
At the nodes side run iSCSI initiator and connect to the target. It should work :)

How could i allow to multiplle clients of a iscsi server which created with target ?
Thanks
Commented:
You can connect from multiple clients if you add them to the list of allowed clients in iSCSI target configuration.

BTW in iSCSI wordl we are speaking about targets (=servers) and initiators (=clients). It's vocabulary from the SCSI world and it's easier to understand if you know this :)

Yes i understand but i asked this before on expert they told me it is impossible because of the ntfs structure :( i will check this out

Thank you so much

Commented:
It's impossible to access your drive from both machines at a time. They both can be connected but only one have actual access. If you use cluster it "guards" access perfectly and entire thing works well.

do you have an alternative advice for 2 node one storage server system to use same storage server
i have two server nodes which is using all traffic on one so i decide two split it to two  nodes so what can i do load balancing is not solve the problem it share traffics of nodes but at this time storage is a problem
do you think DFS solve this ?

Commented:
They can use same storage server. The only impossible thing is to access same physical drive from 2 nodes at the same time. DFS is a version of file sharing. In my opinion normal file sharing is OK for you. You should share folder on your server and map it as a drive on 2 nodes. I do not know your scenario but it may be enough.

i stream some files out the server with stream my stream class allow multiple streams from ntfs it opens file with read mode , will i be able to read files from iscsi when i declare it to 2 nodes for opening on read mode so ?

beside this very thank you for your answers after giving points...

Commented:
Why you cannot use network drives? If you share any folder on your server then you can access it from both nodes after mapping them as network drive...

but i need to know the empty space of the disk to upload files on network shared folder i can't get it directly, it must like a physical drive or folder on nodes

Commented:
sure...
If your data doesnt change very frequently (i.e. most files are only read) then in my opinion the best option is to provide local disks for each note (iSCSI is OK) and replicate data between volumes. Try to avoid simultaneous physical access to one volume from more than one machine. It may crash your data.

unfortuanatelly they will change frequently , the only thing opening it on read mode while streaming then i could delete and write files from two nodes :( so i need tyo add physical path from the storage server to each node , they need to read files at the same time but only one of them will attemp to delete, file will be deleted after all the server's connections closed so the only thing that i need read files from all servers and see the empty space on the iscsi disk from all servers again ... :(
