McaFee uninstalling problem

Hi Guys

Recently I installed McaFee VirusScan Enterprise V8.7.0.570 on my Vista OS
I was not happy with it so I decided to remove it - in the "add\remove programs" there are 4 modules of MecAFee - MecAfee Agent", " McAfee AntiSpyware Enterprise Module", MecAfee Host Intrusion Prevention" and McAfee VirusScan Enterprise".
I started with uninstalling the last of the four and continue on till only the Agent remained.
When I tried to uninstall it, it gave me an error message stating that it can't be removed because other products are still using it...
No other application on this PC were opened and I removed all the application that were are opened on startup - still the Agent is not installed.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove this Agent? Is there a manual way to do it?

At a command prompt at

C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\

type  frminst /forceuninstall

If McAfee is installed elseware then that should be reflected in the path.

You can also use the "Registry" tool in to remove any residue left over from prior McAfee applications.

Try the advice above first.
As a last option, you can try to run the installer for McAfee Enterprise, it should detect existing Agent and should give you options to either re-install, repair or remove. That might do the trick!
