Remove Left Navigation from Site.

The Site inherited the Left Navigation, which I would like to remove.

i've done this using content editor web part.
the code is below.
put the code in a content editor web part on your page.  you can change the content editor web part Chrome to "none" and that will hide the content editor web part on your page.

i find this approach easier than the one mentioned above.
