upgrade from lotus notes 6.5 to 8, but appearance did not change

I just upgraded a user from Lotus notes 6.5 to 8. The menus along the very top bar and home screen look like version 8. However the mail and calendar menu still look like 6.5.

Anyone know why this would be?

The mail appereance is "linked" to the model of the db.
To enable all the feature (and the appearence) of the 8.0 you need to upgrade the model of your db. Please ask to your system administrator to do this for you.
